How the calculation works
1. The official menu
Each province publishes an NSNP menu: grams (or ml, or units) per learner per weekday, for primary and secondary phases. We keep these menus versioned — when the department changes the menu, old orders keep their original numbers.
2. Your feeding days
You choose exactly which dates you are catering for. Nothing is pre-selected — use the per-month select official days button to tick the official provincial feeding days, then adjust freely ("I only have cash for 10 days" is fine). We count how many Mondays, Tuesdays, … your selection contains, because each weekday has its own menu.
3. Per-school quantities
For each school: menu quantity × learners × number of that weekday, summed over the period. Schools with both primary and secondary learners are calculated per phase and combined into one delivery.
4. Real pack sizes
Requirements are packed into real pack sizes (50 kg, 25 kg, … down to singles) per school, always rounding up — no school is ever undersupplied. The company order is the sum of every school's packs, so what is ordered is exactly what can be picked, packed and delivered.
5. Two delivery streams
Dry goods cover the whole period; fruit & veg is a separate weekly order. Distribution is costed per ton per stream at district rates.
Pricing
This tool shows quantities only — no prices. Request a quote from Venbeck Wholesale and they will email you pricing; approved-account customers can place orders directly.
Verification for schools
A school can generate the same numbers independently of any supplier: a printable spec sheet of exactly what should arrive for any date range, with the calculation method shown on the document.
